Call for nominees: CTC Thesis Award 2026
In 2026, the Computational and Theoretical Chemistry section of KNCV will award the KNCV-CTC PhD Thesis Award to a talented young researcher. The award will be presented during the KNCV-CTC Spring Symposium taking place in Delft in April 2026.
The nomination requirements for this award are:
- Each group leader can nominate a maximum of only one candidate (i.e. the group leader pre-selects and only nominates their best candidate) via a nomination letter.
- The candidate has successfully defended their PhD thesis at a Dutch or Flemish university during the period 1/1/2024 – 31/12/2025.
- The core of the research of the thesis has to deal with computational and theoretical chemistry.
- The nomination has to be accompanied by an electronic version of the thesis.
- The nomination has to be accompanied by a CV, including a complete and updated publication list of the candidate (incl. manuscripts ‘in preparation’, ‘submitted’, ‘accepted’, ‘in press’, etc.)
- The nomination deadline is December 16, 2025. Nomination package to be send electronically (as PDF) to a.l.m.lamberts@lic.leidenuniv.nl.
The award consists of a certificate as well as 1000 Euros. The committee of the CTC Thesis Award 2026 will consist of industrial and/or academic experts.
