During the CHAINS symposium of December 7th 2017, the KNCV Division Computational & Theoretical Chemistry (CTC) has been established. Anyone with an interest in this field is cordially invited to join the division.
CTC is engaged in the promotion of knowledge of Computational and Theoretical Chemistry in a broad sense and the promotion of the professional and general interests of Computational and Theoretical Chemists in the Netherlands. The scope extends from theoreticians in quantum theory and simulation to experimentalists with an interest in theory and model computations. This includes method and software development, the development a theoretical framework and models of chemical phenomena as well as relevant developments in informatics. While the core of the division is clearly in chemistry, it wishes to be inclusive towards all interested in adjacent natural sciences, such as, physics and biology.
The section CTC pursues its objectives through the organization of meetings, symposia, setting up task forces, maintaining contacts with like-minded groups in the Netherlands and abroad and awarding a prize.
The membership fee is €10 for KNCV members and for non-KNCV members €25 will be requested. If you are not yet 24 then membership in the section is free.
If you want to stay informed of the activities of the section, do not wait any longer and become a member immediately.
